Director and Principal Clinical Psychologist

Nicole Robinson, a Clinical and Principal Psychologist at The ProActive Psychology Practice, brings over 20 years of experience in treating children, adolescents, and adults. Specialising in anxiety, mood disorders, stress, parenting, trauma, grief, and adjustment issues, she excels in managing Autism and ADHD through a neuro-affirmative approach. Nicole’s commitment extends to suicide prevention and support for diverse cultural communities.

A board-approved supervisor, Nicole mentors 4+2 and 5+1 provisional psychologists and clinical registrars. Her nurturing supervision style in her successful internship program fosters growth and prevents burnout among early career psychologists. Additionally, she supervises several group programs like Triple P, 1-2-3 Magic, and mindfulness-based groups, focusing on children’s and adults’ mental health.

As the clinical lead of Star4kids, Nicole offers free psychological services in Southwest Sydney. Her work significantly impacts children and adolescents in foster care, emphasising therapeutic support and relationship strengthening.

Nicole’s therapeutic repertoire includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma-focused CBT, Art and Play therapy, DBT, and a client-centred approach. Her focus on self-compassion and strength-based methods highlights her comprehensive and empathetic treatment style.
